On-line Safety
Our young people are growing up in an increasingly digital world. As they become more independent online, we believe it is essential that they learn to balance the benefits of technology with a thoughtful awareness of their own behaviour and the behaviour of others. At The Willows, safeguarding our children is a key priority. We are committed to helping them develop the knowledge, confidence, and strategies they need to stay safe online and to make positive, responsible contributions to the digital world.
Online Safety is embedded throughout the computing curriculum at The Willows as well as through PSHE - Relationships lessons. Classes revisit Online Safety regularly, both through planned lessons, assemblies and in response to real‑time issues or discussions that arise.
Our teaching of Online Safety focuses on eight key aspects, ensuring pupils build a strong and comprehensive understanding of how to navigate the online world safely and responsibly.
